BRAVE-WOW at University of Évora’s 41st Permanent Seminar on Organisational Psychology and Human Resources

On 21st May 2026, BRAVE-WOW was present at the 41st Permanent Seminar on Organisational Psychology and Human Resources, a joint initiative between the Psychology Department and the Center for Research in Education and Psychology of the University of Évora. Held under the same name as the project being presented, the seminar offered a valuable opportunity to introduce BRAVE-WOW’s mission, goals, and early products to a broader audience.

The session took place online, with nearly 50 attendants, and was held by Inês Agostinho and Margarida Farinha, both researchers affiliated with BRAVE-WOW and integrated into CIEP-UÉ.

Drawing on a clear, evidence-based approach, the speakers walked participants through the project’s core foundations: the prevention of gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) in the workplace, especially in the healthcare sector, the promotion of safer and more inclusive working environments through the decent work framework, and the development of effective organisational responses to these issues. The session also offered a window into the scientific work already produced by the University of Évora team under Work Package 2.

Among those present were healthcare professionals. These are among BRAVE-WOW’s priority target groups, given that the healthcare sector is particularly exposed to GBVH. Their attendance reinforces the value of bridging academic knowledge and the realities healthcare workers experience on the ground.

This seminar marks yet another concrete step in BRAVE-WOW’s dissemination strategy, which has consistently sought to bring scientific research closer to the professionals and organisations that stand to benefit most from its findings and tools.
