BRAVE-WOW Launches Stakeholder Engagement Plan

The BRAVE-WOW project has taken a step forward with the launch of its Stakeholder Engagement Plan, designed to ensure that all voices are heard in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) and harassment in the world of work.

The plan sets out a structured approach to identifying and engaging stakeholders across healthcare, policy, labour, and civil society. Stakeholders include healthcare professionals, hospital managers, human resources representatives, trade unions, policymakers, labour inspectors, academia, NGOs, and media actors. By bringing together such a diverse network, BRAVE-WOW aims to capture a wide range of perspectives, needs, and experiences.

The engagement strategy will be carried out in several stages:

Mapping and Identification – Partners will collaborate at national and European levels to identify key organisations and individuals whose expertise and roles are essential to the project.

Categorisation and Analysis – Stakeholders will be assessed according to their interests, influence, and potential contribution, using tools such as the Involvement Matrix to assign roles (listener, co-thinker, advisor, partner, or decision-maker).

Engagement Activities – Once identified, stakeholders will be invited to take part in focus groups, roundtables, EU-wide surveys, and participatory workshops. These activities will create opportunities to share knowledge, discuss barriers to addressing GBV, and co-develop solutions.

Continuous Feedback and Monitoring – Engagement will be iterative, with regular updates and opportunities for stakeholders to contribute as the project evolves. Insights will feed directly into the design of pilot interventions, the development of tools, and policy recommendations.

This inclusive and participatory model ensures that BRAVE-WOW is grounded in real-world needs while fostering collaboration between healthcare institutions, decision-makers, and civil society. By actively involving stakeholders from the very beginning, the project seeks to build sustainable strategies for safer, more respectful workplaces across Europe.
