BRAVE-WOW Participates in DG JUST Kick-off Meeting 2025 in Brussels and online

On the 17th and 18th of June, the BRAVE-WOW project took part in the DG JUST Kick-off Meeting, both onsite and online.

The meeting was hosted by the Directorate General for Justice and Consumers of the European Commission.
Representing the project in Brussels were Leonor Pais, the coordinator from the University of Coimbra, and Nuno Rebelo Dias from the University of Évora.

In total, the event brought together 160 participants in person and 127 online.
The meeting served as an important moment to present key guidelines from the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme, and to highlight the importance of aligning projects with EU values and principles, including gender mainstreaming and equality. It also offered a valuable opportunity to meet the Project Officer and to better understand the expectations and next steps in project implementation.

For BRAVE-WOW, this was not only a space to learn and gather useful insights for the months ahead, but also a great opportunity to connect with other projects that share common goals.
Many of them showed strong alignment with BRAVE-WOW’s mission to address gender-based violence and promote systemic change.
This promising start sets a solid foundation for the project’s next steps, and we look forward to continued collaboration and impact.
