Role of ISS in the European BRAVE_WOW project

The BRAVE-WOW project has been featured in the Medicina di Genere Newsletter, a quarterly publication promoted by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) in collaboration with GISeG and the Centro Studi Nazionale su Salute e Medicina di Genere.

The article, authored by Marco Giustini, Anna Carannante, and Simona Gaudi from ISS’s Department of Environment and Health, highlights the role of ISS in the project. BRAVE-WOW, an EU CERV-funded initiative launched in May 2025, brings together 14 partners from Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, and Spain to combat gender-based violence and harassment in healthcare workplaces.

ISS leads Work Package 4 and is responsible for implementing the Italian pilot study, which will test innovative tools including the Gender-Based Violence at Work Questionnaire to improve understanding and prevention of workplace violence. The Medicina di Genere Newsletter is a well-established scientific publication that disseminates research updates, clinical insights, and regional developments in gender medicine.
