SESPA drives the development of the BRAVE-WOW pilot project

The Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (SESPA) is leading the design and implementation of the pilot project within the framework of BRAVE-WOW, a European initiative co-funded by the European Commission’s CERV programme, aimed at preventing gender-based violence and harassment in the workplace. As a reference public health institution, SESPA coordinates a range of activities including psychosocial risk analysis, development of intervention protocols, staff training, and impact evaluation in selected workplaces.

These actions help validate innovative methodologies that can be replicated across other institutional settings. The pilot project developed by SESPA follows a comprehensive approach that integrates occupational health, gender equality, and organizational transformation.

Through collaboration with healthcare professionals, public managers, and prevention experts, practical tools are being generated to improve detection, response, and eradication of violence and harassment in professional environments. With this initiative, SESPA strengthens its commitment to improving workplace conditions and protecting fundamental rights, positioning itself as a key actor in building safe, inclusive, and violence-free spaces.
